DIY Donut Snowmen

Transform premade mini powdered donuts into whimsical snowmen.

What You’ll Need:

• Mini powdered donuts
• Wooden skewers or lollipop sticks
• Mini chocolate chips
• Chocolate-coated candies
• Fruit strips or rolls
• Confectioners’ sugar or coconut flakes

How-To:

1. Build your snowman. Create the body by carefully threading 3 powdered donuts onto a wooden skewer or lollipop stick.
2. Bring it to life. On the top donut, lightly press mini chocolate chips into the upper half for eyes and into the bottom half to make a mouth. For the nose, press an orange candy-coated chocolate perpendicular into the center of the donut.
3. Accessorize. Cut a strip from a fruit strip or roll to create a cozy scarf. Wrap it around the neck area (between the top and middle donut) and let it drape to one side. Now button up! Gently press candy-coated chocolates into the centers of the middle and bottom donuts to create buttons.
4. Set the scene. Place the snowmen on a serving platter, then sprinkle confectioners’ sugar or coconut flakes at the base to create a blustery winterscape.

Tips & Tricks:

• Use various candies and edible decorations to give each snowman its own unique personality.
• Have little helpers? Remember to supervise them, especially when using skewers.
• If the donuts are too soft to handle, pop them in the freezer for a short time to make them easier to work with.
